MORE LOAN INFORMATION:

 

Personal Loans:

 

  • - We loan from $1000 up to $15,000 on one signature to qualified applicants.

  • - Please list specific reason for loan, not "personal".

  • - Debt Consolidation: Please submit all bills to be paid with the application.

 

Vehicle Loans:

 

  • Used - We will finance 100% of the retail price as quoted by the current NADA book, for up to 6 years, depending upon the year of the vehicle. This does not include tax, title or registration fees.

  • New -We will finance 100% of the purchase price for up to 7 years. This may include tax, title and registration fee.


**All Vehicle loans** -  Please include the purchase agreement with your application. 

**For Private sales** - A note of intent to sell from the seller listing the year, make, model and VIN number of this vehicle as well as the sales price.

 

All Applicants:

 

  • - $50 application fee added to the loan or paid from shares. 

  • - Proof of ALL income must be provided with application: current pay stubs, the W-2, proof of rental income, and child support or income tax returns for self-employed individuals.

  • - A credit check is done on all applicants.  The rate of interest on your loan will be determined by your credit score and history.

  • - Minimum age to apply for a loan is 18 years old.

  • - All applicants must appear at the credit union to sign the loan note after approval.

 New Education Loan!

 

Northeastern Connecticut Healthcare Credit Union, Inc. is proud to announce its new education loan program. Recognizing the importance of the higher education and how tough it is to afford, we are pleased to reveal the details of our new lower rate program.

  • - 7.99% fixed rate of interest.

  • - For any educational purpose-individual classes, vocational, technical, prep, private and college tuition, books, room and board.

  • - More affordable terms than are regular personal loans so you are still paying down your balance but you have room to breathe while you are in school.

  • - You can rewrite the loan - so that each year, as you continue your education, you can add to the loan, for school purposes.

  • - The loans will be made available to students or parents of students. The credit unions loan qualifications apply. Yearly maximums and lifetime maximums apply.

Bernard F. Smith Memorial Scholarship

Sponsored by the Northeastern Connecticut Health Care Credit Union - NCHCCU

 

In memory of Bernard F. Smith and in the interest of its members, the Northeastern Connecticut Healthcare Credit Union has established an educational aid scholarship to advance the skills of its members in the areas of health care and finance.

Committee Structure


  • - New members are to be appointed by the Chairperson of the Committee and the current members.
  • - The Committee is composed of three members serving five year terms.

  • - The Board of Directors will appoint the first chairperson.  Subsequent chairs will be appointed by the Committee and approved by the Board of Directors.

  • - The Committee will meet in yearly in March/April-or at their discretion.


Committee Policy & Procedure

  • - The Committee may call on the Board of Directors and the Office Staff of the NCHCCU you for assistance in considering applications.

  • - Funds are allocated directly from the NCHCCU's general fund account as part of their budget process in January of each year.

  • - The Candidates will be informed in writing within 10 days after the Committee meeting to explain the details of the award.

  • - Only tuition, books, laboratory or registration fees are considered for aid purposes.

  • - Consideration for aid will be given to applicants applying for credits or courses pertaining to the advancement of skills in the fields of health care and finance.

  •  - Payment will be made by the Treasurer of the Board Of Directors to each approved applicant and the Committee Chairperson will deliver the check to the approved applicant.

Applicant Procedure

  • - Completed application forms and recommendation must be sent to the Chairperson, Norine Nichols, 316 Church St, Brooklyn, CT 06234, by the 5th of March to be considered.

  • - Applicants must present a request for a specific training program and, if applying for college credits, should include a photocopy of the course or courses to be taken and the cost. If the applicant is looking for reimbursement for money spent, appropriate receipts must accompany the application form.

  • - Applicants must submit one written recommendation.

  • - No applicant can receive funds in excess of $1,600. However, they may file applications as often as they like until reaching that amount.
