Although he is between the Equinox and the Traverse in the lineup, the Blazer has nothing to do with his brothers. The 2019 Chevrolet Blazer is a reboot, but the family badge will not come back in an onboard SUV.
Exterior and Interior
Although it is between the Equinox and the Traverse in the lineup, the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer is nothing like its brothers. The front fairing is particularly aggressive for a Chevrolet, and is one of the few crosses on the market that seems so angry. This is because the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer seems heavily inspired by the latest Camaro, with similar designs of headlights and grilles. Lighthouses are the first to attract attention with their incredibly slim design. As for the grid, also rests largely on the Camaro, with a thin section above the bow badge and a massive section extending up to the platform. The slightly trapezoidal shape that widens downward gives it a Lexus “grid” grid appearance, with honeycomb type bees with single element mesh that sets it apart. Under the headlights, Chevrolet mounted larger lights wrapped in angular bevels. However, the platform is less aggressive and is surmounted by simple panels, black or bodywork and a small grid in the center. The wings are not particularly muscular, while the waist line is quite simple, except for the way it moves below the window of the room to meet the spoiler tailgate. The muted pillars are a nice touch, giving the SUV a desirable “floating roof” appearance. Under the belt, it shows the usual wheel arches painted in black and thick side skirts. Several wheel models are available, starting with standard 18 inch aluminum wheels.
Sport air is transmitted outside to the inside of the cabin, where the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer displays a Camaro like infotainment like display, vents around A/C and a foreground insert horizontally separating the upper and lower sections of the board. This cutting part, having chrome and contrast seams extends to the dashboard of the bell, with the metal edge encompassing the unit on both sides. The center console has two air conditioning vents in the middle, while some of the vehicle controls are placed in a very thin strip above. Two large cupholders are located on the right side of the center console, along with the shifter and the infotainment controller. Upholstery options include many colors and embellishments, as well as a padded knee area for a sportier look. The list of options also includes a panoramic electric sunroof. Needless to say, the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer looks inside surprisingly premium, but most of the features that drive a vehicle in the luxury market, such as the heated steering wheel and front seats with heating / ventilation, remain optional. However, Premier trim comes standard with exterior rear seats, adaptive cruise control, rearview mirror and hands free power liftgate. Wireless charging is optional regardless of the model. In terms of technology, the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer is the first to have an electronic lock glove box.
The motivation is ensured by a pair of engines distributed in the General Motors range. The standard unit is a 2.5 liter four cylinder shared with Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon and GMC Acadia, and pumps 193 horses and 188 pounds of torque. Although not particularly powerful, this mill will provide the best fuel economy for the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer. More power comes from the 3.6 liter V6 engine, an engine that’s also shared with Chevrolet and GMC trucks, but also found in the GMC Acadia and Cadillac XT5 SUVs. The V-6 has been adjusted to generate 305 horsepower and 269 lb / ft or so as much as in Colorado. Both engines have direct injection and are equipped with Stop / Start technology that stops transmission in the absence of power. In addition, both are combined with a nine speed automatic transmission. Each setting is provided with the Traction Select function, a feature that allows the driver to make adjustments in the vehicle’s driving mode for different road conditions. On AWD models, the system can be disconnected from the rear axle, turning the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer into a front wheel drive vehicle when full wheel drive capability is not needed.
Price and Release Date
Regarding prices, the details are still unknown, but Chevrolet said the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer would be located between Equinox and Traverse, so it is likely that it will provide an initial retail price of between $ 24,000 and $ 30,000. Chevrolet announced that the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer will be officially launched in early 2019.
